Moscow has the most famous sights in the whole Russia. Tourists coming to the city will surely be interested in visiting them.

On their way from the airport after tiresome flight to Moscow, tourists will already have a chance to see some of the most popular sights. The way from both Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports to the center of the city is long, but tourists will see a lot interesting buildings and structures, such as cathedrals, churches, architectural monuments and shops on their way to Moscow hotels. The most popular sights in the city are the Red Square and the Kremlin. Both this sights play a very significant role in the history of the whole country, as Moscow is the capital of Russian Federation.

Kremlin is a grandiose landmark in the very center of Moscow. It is the seat of Russian government. It was founded in the 11th century and since then has changed greatly. Many churches, cathedrals and palaces were built on its territory. In the 18th century Kremlin was used for coronations, tsar’s weddings and funeral ceremonies. The Red Square is the most popular attraction in Moscow. Red Square is considered the historical and spiritual center of the country. Numerous sights are located in the territory of the Red Square, among them is the Kazan Cathdral, Russian National Museum and others. The Red Square has always been the most popular meeting place in Moscow. People gathered there not only to spend their free time, but also to hear government announcements or celebrate church festivals.

Theaters and cinemas in Ekaterinburg

Moscow and St Petersburg tours are great, but there is so much more to do in Russia. Ekaterinburg has not only many historical places that should be visited, but also theatres and cinemas that can offer a lot to the travelers.

The most famous theatre in Ekaterinburg is the Opera House, which has one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. Opera House was built in 1912. Many famous artists played in this great theatre. When you visit this theatre you’ll be able to feel the traditional Russia spirit, that is everywhere in the theatre.

The theatre season usually lasts from September to July. The most famous performances in this theater are such plays as “The Swan Lake”, “Karmen” and “Eugene Onegin”. There are more interesting facts about Russia which I will tell you more about in my next posts.

Surely it is not e only theatre in the city, you can also enjoy the performances in other theatres.

If you are fond of going to the cinema, then you can choose the one among several cinemas in Ekaterinburg. Multiplex “Salut” is one of the biggest regional cinemas in the country. It has four halls, 828 seats, as well as Dolby Digital Surround EX.. Every year movie festivals of different counties, such as Japan, UK, Germany, France and others, take place in this movie-theatre.

Transport System in Ekaterinburg

Ekaterinburg is the third largest city in Russia. It is the leading industrial, scientific and cultural center of the whole country. You can get to the city both by plane and by rail. Koltosovo airport in Ekaterinburg receives international flights.

Ekaterinburg lies on Trans-Siberian railway, so if you like to travel in Russia by train, so you can easily visit this city coming there by train. For flights to Russia, for Russian train tickets, for hotels in Russia. These are the sites that I find very helpful.

The system of public transport is well developed in Ekaterinburg. Most of the citizens use public transport, as very few of them can afford having own car. Public transport is always overcrowded, as it is very cheap.

The main city transport is buses, which can take you to any corner of the city. Trolley-buses and trams are also often used by locals, as it’s a fast and convenient transport.

But the fastest public transport in the city is route taxi, which can be toped anywhere on the route. The charge is small, though most of the route taxies belong to private transport companies.

Ekaterinburg has a very famous underground as it has the shortest underground stations in the whole country. It connects city center with the distinct part of the city Uralmash.

If you don’t want to use public transport you can always rent a car with or without a driver. There are some companies in the city that offer different kind of cars for rent.

Being the third largest city in Russia Ekaterinburg offers everything for tourists that are fond of sightseeing. Here you can find historical monuments, churches, monasteries and other buildings that belong to the time of Peter the Great, the founder of the city.

Ekaterinburg played an important role in the history of the country, as many dramatic events took place there. It was the city, where the members of the Imperial family were murdered by Bolsheviks on July 16, 1918.

Ekaterinburg is also famous for its theatres and museums, as well as cinemas. But these are not the only attractions to see making this city an ideal destination for Russia vacations and for your next Russia tour.

Ekaterinburg Zoo can be a good place to relax, get positive emotions and view various animals that are brought there from different parts of the world. You can see thee polar bears that are playing with each other, raccoons that are always busy. There is a white tiger in the Zoo, which is really a rare example. The tiger is behind the glass, so you can come very close and admire its beauty. There are many birds of different kinds in the zoo that are singing beautifully all the time.
