Moscow sights

Moscow has the most famous sights in the whole Russia. Tourists coming to the city will surely be interested in visiting them.

On their way from the airport after tiresome flight to Moscow, tourists will already have a chance to see some of the most popular sights. The way from both Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports to the center of the city is long, but tourists will see a lot interesting buildings and structures, such as cathedrals, churches, architectural monuments and shops on their way to Moscow hotels. Moscow hotels are not cheap, but you can find hotels similar to St Petersburg cheap hotels.

The most popular sights in the city are the Red Square and the Kremlin. Both this sights play a very significant role in the history of the whole country, as Moscow is the capital of Russian Federation.

Kremlin is a grandiose landmark in the very center of Moscow. It is the seat of Russian government. It was founded in the 11th century and since then has changed greatly. Many churches, cathedrals and palaces were built on its territory. In the 18th century Kremlin was used for coronations, tsar’s weddings and funeral ceremonies. There are outstanding monuments representing Russian old architecture located there. Moskva river that is located next to the Kremlin actually flows to the Volga river.

The Red Square is the most popular attraction in Moscow. Red Square is considered the historical and spiritual center of the country. Numerous sights are located in the territory of the Red Square, among them is the Kazan Cathdral, Russian National Museum and others. The Red Square has always been the most popular meeting place in Moscow. People gathered there not only to spend their free time, but also to hear government announcements or celebrate church festivals.
